One hundred years is a long time to wait for a single person, even if they are the single most important knight in all of Hyrule. The Sheikah people all had faith in Link's return, but one such youth wasn't content with just waiting around and twiddling their thumbs until the hero would awaken. Too many people were put into danger day after day by the monsters that plague Hyrule and its people, be they beast or man.

Someone had to do something.

Donning the armor of Sheikah warriors and a mask to obscure their face, this youth took on the name Sheik, borrowing the warrior of legend's likeness in order to hide their own identity, and to bring them the courage and strength needed to pursue their ideals. Lurking in the shadows and acting only when needed, Sheik aided the people from afar, avoiding the gazes of the commonfolk, and even that of the hero himself.

That's how it was for a long time. But not anymore.

headcanons

‣ Sheik responds to any pronouns, but uses they/them when referring to themself. That said, they are generally quick to correct people when incorrectly assuming they are a man or a woman.

‣ Their father is a member of the Yiga clan. As such, Sheik does their best to avoid encounters with them whenever possible.

‣ Despite the name they have taken up, Sheik has no real interest in serving the monarchy. They care for the people of Hyrule first and foremost, not the name of the kingdom they reside in.

‣ Any questions regarding their true identity are either ignored or brushed off. Any attempts to find out in a forcible manner will be met with an equally forceful response.

‣ Sheik has a fondness for animals and animal-like creatures, particularly the cute ones. They don't like admitting this openly.

‣ Having been told about the past fighter(s?) that went by the name of Sheik in Smash, they can't help but feel a bit inferior to them. While they are quick on their feet, they aren't nearly as strong, and it affects their confidence somewhat.

I am more than happy to discuss any ship possibilities! However, please bear in mind that I will only ship with chemistry, and am unwilling to ship immediately. I like to build up a relationship between two characters beforehand, it's both more fun and more realistic that way!

Also, please do not try and force a ship on me/my character if we have not discussed it beforehand! I really don't like having anything pushed on me, shipping or otherwise, so if you attempt to pressure me into a ship, you're basically ensuring that I will not be shipping with you. Let's discuss things like reasonable people, thank you!

I am also more than happy to do fight RPs! My replies for these can get a bit long, but I like to be as detailed as possible with fights. I will be basing Sheik's kit off of their Smash moveset as well as what the Yiga clan in BotW can do!

My reply speeds can be somewhat inconsistent due to motivation and sleep schedule issues, so replies may be instant, or they may arrive several days later. I try not to drop RPs, so if I haven't replied in a while, I probably will eventually! If you're concerned about the length of time, feel free to (politely) DM me about it!
(SLs are an exception to this whole segment of course, I try to really kick my ass into gear during those, haha.)

Race: Half Sheikah, half Hylian
Age: 26

Growing up in a Hylian village with their Hylian mother, Kaffi was never really in touch with their Sheikah heritage until their mid to late teens, where they gradually began to take interest in researching it. Eventually, they began to practice old Sheikah tricks and combat techniques, and after donning the Sheik persona, they frequented Kakariko Village in order to learn more about the history of the Sheikah, and to train and become more skilled in battle.

Due to a lack of proper guidance from a young age, Kaffi combines true Sheikah techniques with those of the Yiga clan that they have learned via observation in the field. This lack of guidance is also partially why they tend to rely on small weapons and agile movements, rather than their own raw strength when it comes to dealing damage, as they don't yet know how to fully harness their own power.

Sheik is strong, but due to their background as Kaffi, they lack the strength of past Sheikah warriors that carried the name.
